Commercial Building Energy Upgrades -
Community groups are leading the way in energy efficient upgrades for residential and commercial buildings throughout the country. Inspired by the Buddhist environmental guidelines written by the 17th Gyalwant Karmapa, Ogyen Trinley Dorje, for monastic communities and their sangha’s (or meeting spaces), board member Gillian Keiper of the Buddhist Coalition for Bodhisattva Activity, knew a building energy assessment at Nalandabodhi in Boulder, Colorado was the first place to start.

The BEEP – Buddhist Energy Efficiency Project – will continue to assist by providing energy assessments for additional sangha’s and sharing the insights gained to promote energy efficient upgrades for residential and commercial buildings.
